For debugging, it would be great if the app had some method to display or dump a file of codes associated with each button. As I think about this, I realize that this data has to be in a file somewhere. Is it accessible and in a readable form? Perhaps this is a simple documentation matter. If this file is editable, then we'd have a nifty method of quickly expanding the database of remotes.

For phones like the galaxy S5 with a built in IR emitter, it would be great to allow the app to control that as well. This would make sense for an exposed device like a TV where having an iR beacon is unnecessary and perhaps unsightly.

Likewise  it would be great for the app to be able to handle WiFi and bluetooth devices

In most instances, one will probably want to power multiple devices at once. In a simple example:

Turn on Apple TV
Turn on TV,
Turn on amp
Set amp input to Apple optical output
Set TV input to Apple HDMI output

Currently you need to scroll through 3 remotes
perhaps a scripting language like LUA could be embedded into the app.

I will second Chad's comments.

I also think that the ir transmitter should be at an angle toward the bottom (sticky surface) It seems sort of silly to direct the light perpendicular to the device that you are trying to control. I know that both xmit and receive are wide angle, but ...

The stick stuff really doesn't work.  Mine fell off in a couple of minutes. I'd hate to relay on it staying with a camera.
